How To Steal A Dog
In the book How to Steal A Dog by Barbara O'Connor, the main character and her family are homeless. Describe what homelessness means to you. When you think of a homeless person what kind of person pops into your mind? How are Georgina and her family similar or different the image?

When I think of a homless person I think of a guy that lives on a street sleeping in a cold and old alley with all kinds of dogs barking at him. Doesn't have any money and is lost. They have collected lots of bottles and cans. They wear rags. Smells disgusting. Wont get hierd for a job anywere. Eats out of garbage cans.
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of a homeless person I imagine that a old men or a old woman lives on a sidewalk. And ask for money or a men or woman have a guitar or a talent they will perform on a sidewalk. Then people will give him or her money if it is a good talent or a good song.
ReplyDeleteWhat homless means to me is that someone that has no danarrow and that has no home because he got kicked out. He couldn't pay the bills and also had no food. What is a old man that lost his home had nothing to eat he had no danarrow to pay his bills or medical bills. His wife had died in a carcrash because of a young man driving a big truck without looking at the road.And someone broke into hie his house and stole a jar fool of money. But he lived in the streets homeless. He has cancer and needs money to get his medicine to stay alive and help him survive. His name was Robert .J. Stevelyne
ReplyDeletewhen I think of a homeless person I think that they are poor and don't have a job Georging is not like that and Georging has at least a little money but they do need a little more of money to get an aparment and for some food to live and to go to another aparment.
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of a homeless person, I think of an old man, who is a drunk. I don't really think about a family with a mom and 2 kids as being homeless. Georgina is not what I usually picture when I picture homeless people. I think its seems like what happened with her could really happen with any family.
ReplyDeleteGorgegina And the homeless is different in my mind is when people are homeless is when you dont have a car you just live on the street and try to sleep places out of the ordinary. When you don't have a home or car your even a bathroom homeless people sleep,eat and use the restroom in the gas station or even even the woods if you were homeless...... ReplyDeleteI think Georgina's family is different because everytime I think of homeless, I think of people living on the street with nothing. They are very dirty and don't brush their teeth. I don't think of people living in cars. So I think that they are different then other homeless people.

I think homeless means that their family is poor and they don't have money. Georgina's family is different because they have a car and a homeless person don't have one.
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of a homeless, I think of someone who needs a life because of a trouble that caused them to loose it. I think Georgina is similar because a sorrowful thing happened to her.
